Who are we?
We are a non-profit institution, based in Yarinacocha, Coronel Portillo, Ucayali, which seeks the benefit of our Shipibo-Konibo-Xetebo communities. We particularly focus on the development of our people, improving their economy and quality of life in a sustainable manner.
Vision
Our vision is to become an autonomous Shipibo-Konibo-Xetebo nation, which leads and manages its natural resources, territories, government bodies and economy. We articulate our work hand in hand with our native communities, the local, regional, national and international governments as well as with various public and private institutions of the Peruvian State.
History
On March 27, 2022, the citizens, members, associates and active registrants belonging to the Shipibo-Konibo-Xetebo people met in the auditorium of the Instituto Superior Pedagógico Bilingüe de Yarinachocha for the third assembly (Ani Tsinkiti) of the Shipibo-Konibo-Xetebo people, convened by the Shipibo-Konibo-Xetebo Council (Coshikox). Ratified by the vote of the people, the Autonomous Territorial Government was born. On May 18, 2022, we formalized ourselves as an organization in a constitutive assembly held at the institutional premises (Yarinacocha, Coronel Portillo, Ucayali) with the full participation of the heads of the communities, young professionals and technicians from the Ucayali region.
